The encounter :
We met 8 years ago. We had a mutual friend who had talked about me to Xavier, but never introduced us. We frequented the same places in Brussels, and Xavier watched me for almost 2 years before daring to approach me. One evening, a little tipsy, he took the plunge. He came to talk to me and said, 'Do you know Panini stickers ?' and added, 'You are like a sticker album with all the stickers I'm missing.' It made me laugh a lot (and flattered me!) and we talked for a few minutes. After that, social media allowed us to stay in touch and get to know each other. We became a couple a few months later.
We talked about marriage very early on, but we didn't want to rush things so we took our time, moving in together, adopting a dog and then a cat, buying a house, and traveling, a lot of traveling. Xavier finally proposed to me during a trip to Japan, again in a very funny context. He makes me laugh a lot and I love it.
What struck them :
The surprises from our loved ones will always remain our fondest memories of that day. They spoilt us so much. It was incredible.
The venue :
We got married at the commune only and we celebrated in a very modern venue just on the border of Brussels called ‘Le Grand Salon’. We were big clubbers before we became a couple, so the dance was very important to us. We wanted to party into the early hours. When we visited the venue, we immediately found that nightclub atmosphere and we really liked it. So we had a very modern wedding. And we partied until the early hours.
Their inspirations :
I drew a lot of inspiration from wedding blogs and the beautiful images you find on Pinterest. I also bought many things on Etsy (a real goldmine but you have to search!). Finally, I attended several Wedding Fairs. I had a baseline : a chic and modern wedding in pink and red tones. I started from there and searched a lot on the internet (I'm not exaggerating, I didn't count the hours).
The Shoe Creation :
I quickly discovered DMUS (if I remember correctly, through a blog) and immediately loved the concept. I wanted silver shoes with low heels (because otherwise I am taller than Monsieur and I don't like that). When I saw that I could have exactly what I wanted thanks to DMUS, I placed an order right away. It was 8 months before the wedding. I could have waited, but I didn't want to, I was too excited. When I received my package, I was delighted. The shoes were gorgeous, and the packaging was beautiful. However, the heels were too high (I had miscalculated) and I had doubts about the size. So I went to the showroom in Paris. Oh, that showroom, I could have spent hours there, trying on every model, looking at every material sample. It's a little paradise for women who love beautiful shoes! We placed a new order with the saleswoman who was helping me, and I finally received the perfect shoes a few weeks later.

Céline's advice:
I believe that everything lies in the time and patience we invest in organizing the wedding. For financial reasons, we had to postpone our wedding by a year, so I had 2 long years to prepare everything. This allowed me to take my time to search and find exactly what I wanted. It's also important to listen to yourself. And I even want to say: only listen to yourself! Whatever you do, the wedding will never please everyone anyway. It's impossible. Listening to yourself, trusting yourself, and above all, enjoying yourself, is very important in my opinion. For the visual aspect, try to have a common thread so that everything is harmonious: determine the style you want for the wedding, the dominant colors for the decoration, etc. Pay attention to details but avoid going over the top! It's also important to surround yourself with the right people, find the right providers who will listen to you and do their best to meet your expectations. To find these hidden gems, wedding blogs and fairs are really great!
